Addiction Recovery Coordinator

 

Location: Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, CA 

Full Time Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

Pay Range - $68,500.00 - $70,000.00 per year depending on experience

Join Optimum Performance Institute (OPI) — a nationally recognized, mission-driven program helping young adults (ages 17 to 28) build independence and resilience. Located in vibrant Woodland Hills, near Malibu and downtown LA, OPI combines evidence - based mental health care with real - world integration in a dynamic urban setting.

 

As a key contributor to our comprehensive substance use recovery program, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized, ethical, and outcomes-focused care. OPI’s continuum includes Residential Treatment, IOP, Transitional Living, Life Skills Coaching, and Community Integration, all designed to support lasting growth and healing.

Responsibilities

  • Complete psychosocial and SASSI assessments within the first week; screen for safety risks and set treatment goals with participants.
  • Lead 6 weekly addiction groups across LT and STR programs; provide weekly 1:1 addiction support and documentation.
  • Facilitate in-house and external recovery meetings; ensure consistent participant engagement in addiction services.
  • Conduct and document urine screens, breathalyzers, and room searches per policy; maintain CLIA license.
  • Train staff on addiction protocols including testing and room searches; attend all treatment team meetings.
  • Support therapists with substance-related family work; assist Program Director with substance use concerns as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with ethical, clinical, and operational standards.

Qualifications

  • Education & Certification
    Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in addiction studies or related field); must hold current RADT or CADC certification.

  • Experience & Expertise
    Minimum 3 years in the addiction or treatment field, with experience supporting dual diagnosis populations and working within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Communication
    Strong written and verbal communication skills; engaging and patient demeanor.

  • Professional Standards
    Excellent time management, flexibility, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification

  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening per California law.
