Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week. Flexible schedule with occasional weekend availability.
Location: Needville and Stafford Programs.

Join OPI Houston (formerly Fulshear) as our Life Skills and Education Program Manager, where you'll lead a dynamic team focused on personal growth, independence, and academic success for clients ages 18–28.

 

In this leadership role, you’ll oversee life skills programming and educational support, helping clients build emotional regulation, time management, financial literacy, and interpersonal skills. You’ll also support academic and vocational development, empowering clients to thrive in real-world settings.

 

At OPI Houston, we specialize in trauma-informed care, attachment-based therapy, and holistic life skills development. Located on a serene 34-acre ranch near Houston, our program supports young adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and personality disorders. Through a combination of therapeutic modalities and real-world skill-building, we help clients move beyond adversity and build meaningful, fulfilling lives. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Life Skills team, ensuring alignment with program goals and therapeutic strategies.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and accountability to team members while overseeing training, onboarding, and scheduling.
  • Facilitate engaging life skills classes covering emotional regulation, communication, time management, financial literacy, social media awareness, and more.
  • Support clients in academic and vocational development, helping them build executive functioning, study habits, and self-advocacy.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to support client transitions, including discharge planning, documentation, and real-world tasks like moving and grocery shopping.
  • Coordinate alumni engagement initiatives, events, and resource connections to maintain long-term support.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure clear, compassionate communication.
  • Uphold professional standards, company policies, and attendance expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (required).
  • Required: Texas Standard Teaching Certificate issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), an equivalent teaching credential, or a background in education.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in behavioral health, education, coaching, or a related field.
  • Experience in life skills coaching, case management, or transitional living programs—especially within behavioral health or social services.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and foster a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Employment is contingent upon a clean driving record, background check, and drug screening.
